I started coaching through what I know best, tennis. I started with competitive junior tennis players. The success that my players had, not only in their results and rankings but most important in the way they start playing the essence of the game in their own way, in their own terms, and feeling free and great about it regardless of the results, made me realize that I had a gift in coaching and empowering people to be themselves and to comfortably reach and achieve for their highest truths and desires.

I kept telling my players that it didn’t matter how powerful their forehand or serve were, if you are not hitting them within the feeling and awareness of the game, in your own way, you are not playing tennis, you are just executing shots.

Just as there is a big number of professional tennis players making tones of money and high in the rankings, most of them are very far from playing tennis with freedom and instinct, with the joy of doing something from beyond the thinking mind. You see some of the best players in the world not mastering the game but mastering shots or strokes in an almost robotic way. But of course the thinking mind likes that….loves that. Because then the mind feels it is in “control”. A very limited and dry one, I must say.

People in general are playing the game of life trying their best to be successful on it. To climb the rankings and earn lots of money, they are trying to be successful. However, just as in tennis, even if they achieve a success status, they are just going through the motions.
